On October 27, in early Asian trading on Monday, Beijing time, the U.S. dollar index was hovering around 98.89. Last Friday, lower-than-expected CPI data boosted market interest rate cut expectations. The U.S. dollar index fell short-term, then recovered slightly, and finally closed up 0.02% at 98.94, ending three consecutive losses. The benchmark 10-year U.S. Treasury yield closed at 4.0230%, and the 2-year U.S. Treasury yield, which is sensitive to the Fed's policy rate, closed at 3.4860%. Spot gold fluctuated downward throughout the day, and the decline narrowed after the release of inflation data in the United States.
