Palm oil hits near four-week low under pressure as market awaits new drivers

On Monday (October 27), the palm oil market on Bursa Malaysia Derivatives Exchange continued its decline. The benchmark January contract closed down 50 ringgit, or 1.13%, to close at 4,372 ringgit per ton, the lowest closing level in the past four weeks. The market fluctuated downwards under the dual pressure of weak Liancheng futures and a strong ringgit. The palm oil market has lacked a clear direction recently. On the one hand, it has been dragged down by the performance of Liancheng palm oil futures.
